Where Hospitality Meets Heart: A Restaurant Week Story

By Kathlene Carroll Sullivan

The Lancaster City Alliance has been cheering on Lancaster City Restaurant Week as a proud funding sponsor for more than a decade—and this year, they brought that support straight to the table. As a 💎Diamond Sponsor of Lancaster City Spring Restaurant Week (happening now through Sunday, April 19), the LCA team swapped the boardroom for a team meeting atRincón Latino Restaurant Café.

Because let’s be honest—some of the best ideas happen over great food.Surrounded by vibrant dishes and warm hospitality, the team got a true taste of what makes Lancaster’s culinary scene so special.

Team members arrived to a beautifully set table, complete with festive LCA mylar balloons setting the scene.

Delvin Garcia, owner of Rincón Latinó, was all smiles as he welcomed his friends from Lancaster City Alliance back for a Restaurant Week visit. After working closely together to plan his incredibly successful ribbon-cutting celebration last February, those connections quickly turned into something more—genuine relationships.

This time, Delvin returned the favor in the best way he knows how: with exceptional hospitality, a warm welcome, a table full of flavor—and a few special surprises along the way (let’s just say… no one left hungry, and there may have been a toast or two involved).

Delvin Garcia was delighted to welcome his friends from LCA as special guests during Spring Restaurant Week!

Delvin encouraged guests to pre-order—so when everyone was seated, their meals appeared almost instantly. Effortless, thoughtful, and just a little bit celebratory.

Digital Media & Engagement Manager Kathlene Carroll Sullivan was especially excited to try the Rincón’s Carne Fritas, served with yellow rice and the house-made Signature Sauce. One bite of the crispy, tender Fritas had her wishing she’d ordered a second to take home—plus extra of that Signature Sauce (fair warning: it’s addictive).

Delvin’s signature hospitality continued throughout the visit, culminating in a thoughtful surprise—each LCA team member was presented with a beautifully wrapped rose, sourced from his nearby neighbor, Central Market Flowers on Queen.

LCA Director of Communications Elspeth Moffatt is delighted by this special touch to our Restaurant Week experience.

Included with each rose was a carefully rolled scroll—an unexpected and deeply personal touch. When opened, it revealed a heartfelt note from the Rincón Latino team, expressing their gratitude for the Lancaster City Alliance and the work they do to support the small business community.

It was a simple gesture, but one that lingered long after the meal—capturing, in a very real way, what defines Lancaster City Alliance: supporting small businesses, strengthening connections, and helping our city continue to grow and thrive.

We are honored to share their message below.
