Exploring Amanita Café
By Tony Gorick
Amanita Café (223 W Walnut St, Lancaster, PA 17603) is a farm-to-table café specializing in American & Mediterranean cuisine.
The menu features breakfast and lunch with delicious finds like toasts, bagels, shakshuka, waffles, burritos, salads, falafel, burgers, grilled cheeses, and more!
The vibe of the café is a blend of cozy and fanciful, with inspiration coming from the ‘amanita’ mushroom—the iconic red-and-white mushroom found in stories like Alice in Wonderland and Super Mario Bros. This whimsy feel is featured in murals, decor, and more, creating a warm, welcoming space for guests.
For Lancaster City Restaurant Week, Amanita Café is featuring a fantastic dish that looks amazing!
Guests can enjoy the Smoked Salmon Tartine—Front Porch Bakery sourdough topped with choice of cream cheese or house-made hummus, smoked salmon, red onions, capers, sprouts, and topped with a free-range poached egg.
